Maintain gate systems, document safety inspections, and manage operations—all in one system

Our customers

Does this sound familiar to you?

Your team maintains 400 door systems for 60 customers—roller doors, sectional doors, high-speed doors, fire doors, and loading docks. Each system must undergo an annual safety inspection in accordance with ASR A1.7, including force measurement and a test report. Your dispatcher plans the routes in Excel: Which technician visits which customers? Which systems are due for inspection? Which ones still have outstanding issues from the last visit? The overview gets lost by March at the latest.

Your technician stands in front of the high-speed door in a logistics hall and fills out the inspection report on a pre-printed form. 27 force measurements according to DIN EN 12445, light barrier, contact strip, emergency release, fall protection—all handwritten. He sticks on the inspection sticker, and the report goes into the folder. Back in the office, it gets typed up—if the handwriting is legible and the paper hasn’t disappeared into the tool bag.

A logistics manager calls: The high-speed door in Hall 3 won’t close anymore. The truck is at the ramp, the goods are waiting. You need a technician right away—but who’s nearby, who last serviced the door, and what spare part does he need?

SIMPL brings structure to your gate service business

SIMPL replaces Excel-based route planning, paper logs, and phone chains with a single system. All requests—failure reports, overdue UVV inspections, maintenance contracts—are centrally logged as tickets. The AI automatically determines whether a malfunction in a high-speed door in the logistics area is critical or whether it’s a scheduled annual inspection, and prioritizes accordingly. Your dispatcher schedules technicians via drag-and-drop on the planning board, viewing skills, location, and availability in real time. And your technician documents the UVV inspection—including all force measurements—directly on the tablet, even in the warehouse without cell service. Affix the inspection sticker, complete the report digitally, and have the customer sign on the screen. Done.

“Thanks to SIMPL, the paperwork chaos in our company is finally a thing of the past. We now centrally record customer inquiries and orders, including all relevant service reports and maintenance protocols, in a single solution. This has not only given us full transparency over all orders but has also noticeably improved communication across the entire team.”

UVV inspections, maintenance contracts, and defects—no appointment is missed

400 door systems, each with its own inspection schedule—and for high-speed doors with over 50 cycles per day, inspections are required every 6 months. SIMPL manages all contracts and automatically sends reminders when an ASR A1.7 safety inspection is due. Outstanding defects from the last inspection are stored in the system and automatically appear during the next service call—no defect is overlooked. If a fault report comes in for a system that is already due for inspection, the AI suggests combining both tasks into a single service call. And when the customer asks, “Which systems have been inspected, and which haven’t?”—the dashboard provides the answer in seconds.

UVV report generated directly at the facility—including force measurements, photos, and a signature

Your technician opens SIMPL on the tablet, views the job order along with the system history and outstanding defects, fills out the inspection checklist (closing force, light barrier, contact strip, emergency release, fall protection, spring mechanism, drive), enters the force measurement values, takes a photo of the inspection sticker, and has the operator sign it. The UVV report is complete before the technician leaves the facility. If any defects are found, a follow-up order is automatically generated. And if the technician prefers to dictate, the AI converts the voice input into a structured report. SIMPL works offline—even in a warehouse without Wi-Fi.

Every door system with complete documentation—from rolling doors to fire doors

Every door system is assigned a QR code—on the door leaf, the control cabinet, or the frame. Your technician scans it and immediately sees: door type, manufacturer, year of manufacture, last UVV inspection, outstanding defects, force measurement values, and all previous inspection reports. The same applies to fire-rated doors and hold-open systems: DIN 14677 inspection, smoke detector status, last functional test—all stored in the system. In case of recurring issues, the AI searches past service calls for the same door type and suggests proven solutions. Your customer can view all systems via the customer portal and report malfunctions directly.
